Municipal Center business hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM

The Village of Biron provides fire protection, water and wastewater services, grass/leaves pickup, brush pickup, bike paths and a well-kept park for enjoyment. The park provides playground equipment, baseball diamond, volleyball court with sand, basketball court, and a tennis court. Garbage and recycling services are provided by Waste Management.

The park shelter house and Municipal Center hall are available for rent. Call 715-423-6580 to make reservations.

Enjoy the recreational trail from Kahoun Road to South Biron Drive. No motorized vehicles are allowed. Pet waste stations are installed at each entrance. Please pick up after your pet.

Along South Biron Drive, fish from the pier or relax and enjoy the river view from Gateway Park.

Water Utility
The Village has seventeen miles of water lines, two operating wells, a water treatment plant, and a 250,000 gallon water tower. Water system users are billed monthly.

Wastewater Treatment
The Village has fourteen miles of wastewater lines and five lift stations. The Village wastewater is sent to the City of Wisconsin Rapids Treatment Plant. Users of the wastewater system are billed monthly. The amount of water used in your home or business is the amount used to figure your wastewater bill.

Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Payments
Each year tax statements are mailed to property owners in early December. The Village of Biron is on a two-installment tax payment system. The first installment is due on or before January 31 and is paid at the Municipal Center, 451 Kahoun Road, Wisconsin Rapids. Check or money order is preferred. We do not accept credit/debit cards.

The second installment is due on or before July 31 of each year and is paid directly to the Wood County Treasurer, Courthouse, 400 Market Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494.

Dog License Information
All dogs need to be licensed annually. The cost is $5.00 per year for a neutered or spayed dog and $15.00 for an unneutered or unspayed dog. Dog licenses for the calendar year must be purchased by March 31st of each year or a $5.00 late fee per license will be charged. The maximum number of dogs and cats shall be as follows: In a single family residential area no residence shall have more than three dogs, three cats or any combination of such dogs and cats exceeding four. Multi-family residential area including the mobile home district - no residence shall have more than two dogs or two cats or any combination of such dogs and cats exceeding three.
