🚨 Sanitary Sewer Flushing Notice 🚨
The Village of Biron Public Works Department is currently conducting its annual sanitary sewer flushing program. Flushing will take place throughout the entire Village as Public Works staff are available.
This routine maintenance helps prevent blockages, removes debris from the sewer mains, and keeps the sanitary sewer system operating efficiently.
During this work, high-pressure equipment is used to clean the sanitary sewer mains. As a result, air may be forced through the sewer system, which may temporarily cause:
- 🚽 Water in your toilet bowl to bubble or briefly rise.
- 💨 Gurgling or unusual noises from toilets, sinks, tubs, or floor drains.
- 👃 Minor sewer odors in rare circumstances.
These are normal, temporary effects of the cleaning process and should stop once the crew has completed work in your area.
✅ No interruption to sewer service is expected.
As a precaution, we recommend keeping toilet lids closed while flushing is taking place in your neighborhood.
If you experience a sewer backup, toilet overflow, or any issues that continue after flushing has been completed in your area, please contact the Village of Biron Public Works Department as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this important annual maintenance to help keep Biron's sanitary sewer system operating safely and efficiently.
